A Quiet Kind of Worship.
Dear Friend
Lately, I’ve been thinking about provision - what it means to have what we need, and what it means to offer what we have.
Sometimes provision looks obvious; food on the table, money in the account, the right person showing up at just the right time. But other times, it’s more hidden. It’s a sense of peace when things feel uncertain. It’s clarity in a season of waiting. It’s strength for just one more step.
This morning I paused to ask myself: where have I seen provision lately? And also, where have I had the chance to be provision for someone else?
There’s something sacred about giving from what we’ve been given. A quiet kind of worship that doesn’t need to be loud or public, just intentional. A few moments of our time. A message sent in love. A meal dropped off. A few dollars handed over in trust. Or even a small fast - choosing to go without, not out of scarcity but as a way of remembering what truly sustains us.
It’s easy to hold tightly to what we have, especially when life feels full or uncertain. But there’s a beautiful kind of freedom in open hands. In choosing to give, even just a little, as an act of trust. An act of gratitude.
As we gather At Her Table, we’re reminded that it’s not about perfection or having it all together, it’s about presence. It’s about showing up. Sometimes with something to offer, and sometimes simply with a heart willing to receive.
I wonder what a small offering might look like for you today. Not out of pressure, but out of love. Is there something stirring? A name that comes to mind? A gift of time or energy you could give?
I’m learning that provision isn’t always what we expect, but it’s always enough.
With love,
Lauren
